Folks, in the past few days, Donald Trump:

• Signed an executive order attacking collective bargaining rights for federal workers
• Began firing thousands of staffers at federal health agencies, with a goal of dismissing 10,000 people

Here’s what that means, why it’s so bad for our country, what I’m doing about it, and why I’m asking for your help.

These are just more attempts by President Trump to “traumatize” and illegally fire federal workers. Collective bargaining makes the federal workforce STRONGER. Undermining these rights only weakens our national security by making it easier to fire the people who help keep our country safe.

Speaking of less safe… the widespread layoffs at health care agencies will be disastrous for the safety of our food, the health of our kids, cancer research, pandemic preparedness, and more.

I won’t stand for these political attacks on our civil servants. That’s why I introduced legislation to protect recently fired federal workers and why I am leading the fight to stop Donald Trump and his unelected co-president from inflicting more chaos on our country.

But, frankly, that makes me one of Trump and Elon’s top targets in next year’s election. They’ll spend their war chest of cash to defeat me and expand their majority in the Senate.
