John,

First, the Trump administration eliminated the White House Office of Gun Violence Prevention, which was responsible for coordinating the federal response to mass shootings and community violence and developing a federal government approach to tackling the gun violence epidemic.

Then, the Trump administration moved to terminate the advisory that declared gun violence prevention a public health crisis while simultaneously deleting vital public health data from federal websites.

But no matter what they do in Washington, we’re continuing the fight locally in statehouses, because that’s the most effective place we will be able to make meaningful progress and push back on the ruthless attacks on commonsense gun safety measures – and we have the track record to prove we can do it.

We need your support for the fight against gun violence in the states. Please, chip in to our work.

We’ve already passed groundbreaking laws in Washington State, lowering the number of firearm deaths and making our families and communities safer.

This year, we’re taking that fight all over the country. If Congress and the White House won’t act on the gun violence epidemic, we’ll go around them and take action in the states.

Help support our work: Chip in right now to the Alliance for Gun Responsibility and make sure we can keep making progress in the states >> [link removed]
