What a week. There's a lot going on in the world right now! In light
of that, here are three stories you may have missed! In Montana, the
gubernatorial race is officially set. On the left is career politician
Mike Cooney; on the right is businessman Greg Gianforte. In a truly
bizarre story out of Washington state, Nigerian scam artists managed to
snag hundreds of millions of dollars worth of unemployment benefits from
hardworking families. Not good. Last but not least, new survey results
show, once again, that Republican-led states are leading the way for job

In Montana, Republican Greg Gianforte Will Face Off Against Democrat

What Happened:
The Montana gubernatorial primary was held this week, and the race was
set for November. Democrat Mike Cooney, who's been in public office
since 1976, will face Republican Greg Gianforte.
Why You Should Care:
Both candidates present stark differences for the state. Gianforte, who
currently represents Montana in Congress, has decades of business
experience that he says will help the state get back on track in a
post-COVID-19 world. Cooney argues his decades in government is what
Montana needs...Ultimately, the voters will decide.

Washington Unemployment Fraud Might Be $650 Million
What Happened:
Under Democrat Gov. Jay Inslee, the state of Washington was recently
defrauded up to $650 million in unemployment benefits by Nigerian scam
artists.
Why You Should Care:
The benefits were intended for Washington families out of work because
of the COVID-19 lockdowns. Instead, the money went to scam artists. How
this happened is anyone's guess, but the people of Washington deserve
answers. Fast.
What Happens Next:
The state is in the process of recovering the funds, but in the
meantime, Washington taxpayers have been left waiting and struggling.

What Happened:
According to a new survey, the CEO's of America agree: States run by
Republican governors are best suited for businesses!

Eight of the top 10 state on the list are governed by GOP governors,

how you attract jobs and build strong economies. Is it any wonder Texas
is ranked number one and California is dead last?
