Dr. Noor Abdalla, Mahmoud Khalil’s wife, issued a video statement
this morning urging supporters of her husband’s cause to attend the
national march for Palestine in Washington D.C. this Saturday!
Dr. Abdalla speaks on the importance of continuing the struggle
amidst Trump’s ongoing and escalating repression. Mahmoud, who has
been detained for 25 days now, was targeted in a politically motivated
detention that sought to make an example out of his vocal opposition
to the genocide and occupation of his homeland.
She issued a clear call to action: “The time to show up is
now. I urge you to take a bus, take a car, take a plane or take a
train and show up at 1:00 p.m. We need to show up in large numbers and
make it known that the people will never consent to the massacre in
Gaza.”
A broad coalition has come together for this pivotal action.
Initial sponsors include the Palestinian Youth Movement, The People's
Forum, the ANSWER Coalition, American Muslims for Palestine, Jewish
Voice for Peace, U.S. Palestinian Community Network, U.S. Council of
Muslim Organizations, U.S. Campaign for Palestinian Rights,
Palestinian Feminist Collective, AROC Action, Democratic Socialists of
America, and Al-Awda, and many more are joining.
Please make an urgently needed donation today to help
make this demonstration and dozens of buses from across the country
possible.
