John, I got to watch firsthand as Cory Booker broke the record for the longest nonstop speech on the Senate floor. I cannot begin to express how proud I am of my colleague. He spoke to the American people about how Donald Trump’s presidency is harming the very people he’s supposed to serve. How grocery prices are going up, not down, how Medicaid is on the chopping block in the Republican budget, how our economy is focusing on the ultra-wealthy and leaving middle-class Americans behind. During his speech, I got to ask my friend and colleague, Cory Booker, a question on whether he’s aware of the president’s intention to impose significant tariffs that will raise the costs for all Americans. These tariffs will impact the costs of children’s food, medicine, schooling, and more. Donald Trump is not meeting his promise to make America more affordable, and he will almost certainly make America less affordable for those who we are called to give attention, kindness, and service. Cory’s speech was a call to respect those on the margin of life, a call to be generous, open hearted, and kind to those who struggle. Not the cruelty we are seeing from this administration. This is why we are fighting back. This is why we are making speeches, raising our voices, and demanding change. This is a time when each and every one of us must speak up and support our neighbors. I’m doing my part to stand up for the people of Delaware and the entire country, and I need this grassroots team with me all the way. Will you support this Democratic movement with a donation of any amount today? Together, we can continue to hold this administration accountable for its unjust actions toward the American people.
Thank you, Chris
