I have some incredible news to share with you!

Last Thursday, Idaho Gov. Brad Little officially signed into law a bill that would require students in grades 5 to 12 to be given scientifically accurate education about human life in the womb.

SB1046, also known as the “Human Growth and Development Instruction in Public Schools” bill, would require students to view ultrasound footage showing the development of vital organs and a “high-quality, computer-generated rendering or animation showing the process of fertilization and every stage of human development inside the uterus,” such as Live Action’s ‘Baby Olivia’ video.

This is a major victory, and I applaud the Idaho state legislature, especially Sen. Tammy Nichols and Rep. Heather Scott, for their leadership in championing this bill and Gov. Little for signing it into law.

Idaho now joins North Dakota and Tennessee as one of the pioneering states to ensure that state-of-the-art education, explaining and illustrating human development, is included in state education standards.

As we celebrate this win, John, we must also reflect on the fact that this is only getting started. Nineteen other states are also considering similar legislation this session.

Every American student deserves to know the truth about when life begins and how it develops. These truths inform minds and foster a culture that respects human life at every stage of development. We know this to be true, and so do our pro-abortion opponents.

The Sexuality Information and Education Council of the United States (SIECUS) released a report stating that ‘Baby Olivia’ bills represent “the greatest potential for harm” ([link removed] ) to their pro-abortion agenda. In a recent webinar, they went on to attack ‘Baby Olivia’ bills as “indoctrination” being promoted by “Christian nationalists.” ([link removed] )

SIECUS and its Planned Parenthood allies know that if we can reach students with accurate information about human life in the womb before their hearts are hardened by pro-abortion propaganda, we can raise up a generation that recognizes the beauty, dignity, and intrinsic value of preborn lives, and that terrifies them.

This is how we make abortion unthinkable, John!
