This just in: We’re adding another SPECIAL community meeting to the MomsRising rotation this month—because Medicaid is in danger of being taken away from more than 72 million people, and we need to talk about it. (Plus, April is Medicaid Awareness Month!)

That’s right. Health care for more than 72 million people in the United States is dangerously on the line. President Trump and Republican leaders in Congress are trying to cut highly popular programs in order to give even more tax breaks to billionaires—and Medicaid is at the top of the chopping block. NOT okay! In fact, we’re looking at up to $880 billion in reckless cuts to a program that provides essential health care coverage to tens of millions of people including seniors living in long-term care, children, low-income families, pregnant people, people in rural communities, and people with disabilities.

At this critical juncture in the fight for high-quality, affordable, and accessible health care, it’s time to answer your questions and get organized for the fight ahead.

To make this meeting even more special, we have a super-packed roster of leaders, experts, and partners who will share insider knowledge of what’s happening and how you can make a difference. We will hear from leaders in the U.S. Senate, just days before the Senate is voting to advance the Republican tax and budget cuts plan. Additionally, MomsRising will be joined by experts and key partners in the care coalition, including Caring Across Generations, National Domestic Workers Alliance, and Little Lobbyists.
