Dear Health Advocates,
The Senate is prepared to advance a modified budget framework this week, with Senate Leader Thune making it clear he wants to begin the process Wednesday and hold a vote-a-rama Thursday or Friday. The House is still working off their framework, but both chambers will have to come to the table and agree on a bill to continue moving forward with reconciliation. As we've mentioned previously, this timeline is ambitious, and if the budget process doesn't begin this week, the Senate will have just one week to wrap it all up before a 2-week recess. There will be a lot of developments this week, and Families USA will continue to update you as the process moves forward.
This week, there are multiple opportunities for you and your networks to stay engaged in the fight. See these resources and opportunities below: - MomsRising Community Meeting: PROTECT Medicaid
