Last week, the Delivering on Government Efficiency (DOGE) subcommittee held a hearing titled “Anti-American Airwaves: Holding the heads of NPR and PBS Accountable” with the leaders of NPR and PBS. During that hearing, members of the subcommittee renewed calls to cut funding for public media. To help protect the programming you depend on, now is the time to take a stand for American Public Media.


American Public Media creates a variety of award-winning public media programs and podcasts, including Marketplace, YourClassical, The Splendid Table, Brains On, and The Slowdown.


In addition to support from individuals, American Public Media receives important federal funding through the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB), a nonprofit organization that helps fund and support public radio and TV stations. This funding is at risk and the public service news, music and cultural programs that you need depend on this support.
