Last day to secure conference lodging at the Detroit Marriott Renaissance Center is April 1!
The third annual MI Healthy Climate Conference is just a few weeks away! Join the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE) and numerous other state agencies on the "Road to 2030" on April 22-23 at the Huntington Place in Detroit.
Under the theme "Road to 2030," speakers will share about their success stories, challenges, funding opportunities, technical assistance, and other actions they are taking in the six priority areas of the MI Healthy Climate Plan:
- Commit to environmental justice and pursue a just transition
- Clean the electric grid
- Electrify vehicles and increase public transit
- Repair and decarbonize homes and businesses
- Drive clean innovation in industry
- Protect Michigan’s land and water
The agenda includes inspiring plenary talks, breakout sessions, interactive office hours, and several networking opportunities. We will also use a mobile online event app to help attendees take their networking to the next level.
As we continue working together toward a carbon neutral Michigan, EGLE is hosting this 1.5-day MI Healthy Climate Conference to report on the progress of the Plan, build connections and empower collaboration, leverage resources and mobilize opportunities, and prioritize our next steps towards reaching the goals of the Plan. This conference is expected to draw more than 800 attendees from local, state, federal, and tribal governments, universities, nonprofits, community groups, and businesses.
More people than ever before - across our Great Lakes state - are engaged in this important climate work to ensure a cleaner, healthier future for all. Join us on the Road to 2030 to connect with thought leaders, build and strengthen community, and discover solutions and opportunities to implement the MI Healthy Climate Plan!
