Big Investment in South Louisiana

Earlier this week, I was proud to join President Trump for a White House ceremony with our governor and other leaders, where Hyundai announced a multibillion-dollar plant they're building in Louisiana, which will create about 1,300 direct jobs and thousands of indirect jobs in Ascension Parish. That’s billions of dollars in manufacturing investment that would not be here without President Trump’s leadership and strong economic policies.

When you total up all the private investment that's come into the United States just in the two months since President Trump has taken office, it's nearly $4 trillion in new jobs and investment in the United States of America. That's historic, it's unprecedented, and we're just getting started.

Overturning Burdensome Biden Rules to Protect Consumers

The Biden Administration's Department of Energy consistently abused their authority to push a radical energy agenda on American consumers, attempting to implement radical green energy regulations that are neither economically justifiable nor significantly more energy efficient for several household appliances, taking away consumer choice, burdening American families, and forcing Americans to use expensive appliances that do not perform as well.

While the Biden Administration fought until the last minute to unleash burdensome regulations for a multitude of vital home appliances like coolers, freezers, refrigerators, air conditioners, and dryers, this week I voted to roll back these Biden-era policies and keep government agencies out of your home.

Fighting for American Energy

Louisiana is at the forefront of President Trump’s plan to unleash American energy, and I have been hard at work to deliver better energy policy that lowers costs for families and small businesses. This week, I met with leaders from the Louisiana Mid-Continent Oil and Gas Association (LMOGA) and Greater New Orleans, Inc. (GNO, Inc.) to discuss how we can further invest in our energy industry in the Gulf of America.

I look forward to working with President Trump to once again make America energy independent and restore American energy dominance, which will lower costs for families who have been struggling for too long!

Every spring, Louisiana’s First Congressional District participates in a nation-wide high school arts competition to provide an opportunity to recognize and encourage the artistic talent in our district.

The winning artwork will be proudly displayed for the thousands of Capitol visitors from Louisiana and across the nation to view.
