Dear Friend, It was another busy week for our state freedom caucuses. Let's dig into it: |
SECURING OUR ELECTIONS Earlier this week, President Trump signed an executive order that mandates documented proof of US citizenship on voter registration documents.
This is great news, but it's not enough. The penalty for ignoring this order is simply a loss of federal funding. Granted, that's a big deal, but the states need to codify their own laws to make securing our elections permanent.
And that's exactly what our state freedom caucuses are doing. One of the Wyoming Freedom Caucus's top priorities this year was HB 156, which would mandate that only Wyoming citizens vote in Wyoming elections.
This common sense bill passed the legislature earlier this year, but the toughest hurdle and the biggest question mark was whether or not liberal Governor Mark Gordon would sign it into law. Well, this past week, he let the bill take effect without his signature. We'll take it. The WY Freedom Caucus tweeted out the news: |
MARYLAND We've been giving you a lot of updates lately about the Maryland Freedom Caucus because they are in the thick of their legislative session and has done so much to highlight all of The Left's horrible policies. Today, we want to showcase two things.
First, Democrats were able to ram their budget through the State House that included over a billion dollars in new taxes. A Democrat state delegate, Brian Crosby, is a small business owner who literally moved his IT company to Virginia to avoid Maryland's anti-business climate. Remarkably, he voted for the state budget that included a tax hike on IT services! The MD Freedom Caucus highlighted his hypocrisy here: |
Second, in defense of this massive budget, another liberal Democrat, Delegate Gabriel Acevero, said that paying taxes is "the most patriotic thing you can do". Really?
Here's what Maryland Freedom Caucus member, Brian Chisholm, did in response. This is a must-watch video that got over 42,000 views online: |
ILLINOIS
Sadly, another biological male has invaded another girls' locker room. This time in Deerfield, Illinois. Illinois is explicitly ignoring President Trump's executive order on this issue. Thankfully, the Department of Education's Office for Civil Rights has launched an investigation into this. Riley Gaines, Laura Ingraham, and others have thankfully drawn national attention to this issue, in defense of the teenage girls that the Left is ignoring and belittling. This is one of the top issues for HFC member Rep. Mary Miller. And of course, never one to shy away from an important fight, the Illinois Freedom Caucus is playing a central role on the ground.
ILFC Rep. Adam Neimerg gave an impassioned floor speech in defense of the girls. And here's a video of Debbie Georgas, the mother of one of the girls who had to suffer through the humiliation of being forced to change in the locker room with the biological male. |
MINISTRY OF TRUTH IN GEORGIA? California Governor Gavin Newsom previously signed a bill into law, which Elon Musk proclaimed would “make parody illegal” when it comes to campaigning. Now Georgia Republicans - yes, Republicans - are trying to do the same thing by passing SB 9. The Georgia Freedom Caucus is fighting this horrible bill, which would essentially create a "Ministry of Truth" where bureaucrats would decide if campaign material is "materially deceptive."
NO MORE BIG BUDGET: The Montana Freedom Caucus is reminding everyone that they will oppose any state budget that grows too much, creates new full time employee positions, and takes federal dollars with mandates attached to it. Read their statement here.
ALUMNI UPDATE: Former Missouri Freedom Caucus member, Denny Hoskins, is now the Missouri's Secretary of State. He reported earlier this week that his office removed 18,000 deceased voters from the rolls.
STOP DEI QUOTAS: Pennsylvania Freedom Caucus member, Rep. Mike Jones, gave a committee speech opposing the Left's attempts at instituting discriminatory DEI quotas for private business. We all know these quotas are unjust and unfair, but Jones has personally experienced it as a small business owner. |
