This is the last call to register for the 2025 Arlington Chamber Volunteer Day and give back to our community! We're looking for passionate individuals and teams of volunteers to be part of this exciting annual event, where local businesses come together to take on meaningful service projects across Arlington.


Organized by the Chamber's Community Action Committee, this event connects Arlington businesses with local nonprofits to make a lasting impact. Volunteer opportunities are open to individuals and groups of all sizes.

The kickoff location for this year’s event will be the Crystal City Sports Pub where we will start the Volunteer Day by celebrating our volunteers, nonprofits and community while having a delicious lunch. Don’t miss out—click the link below to register today!

Volunteer Projects with Available Spots


We have various volunteer opportunities, but some projects have already reached their maximum number of participants. Below, you'll find a list of projects that still have spaces available for registration. If you're interested in getting involved, please sign up soon as spots may fill quickly.


Arlington Bridge Builders (Maximum 12 Volunteers)

  • Volunteers will be repairing a food pantry, including removing and replacing the metal skirt on the trailer, widening the wood ramp leading to the entrance, and cleaning up the area around the trailer.


Arlington Free Clinic (Maximum 6 Volunteers)

  • Volunteers will be writing thank you notes, creating thank you posters, and decorating the volunteer check-in station. Spanish speakers encouraged for thank you notes being sent to interpreters. 


Arlington Neighborhood Village (Maximum 9 Volunteers )

  • Volunteers will help seniors declutter by picking up unneeded and unwanted items from their homes and taking the items to Goodwill and Central Library. Given the advanced planning of this project, ANV will greatly appreciate volunteers who feel confident about their ability to commit to this day, as well as volunteers who can share their truck or large vehicle. 


Aspire Afterschool Learning (Maximum 23 Volunteers)

  • Volunteers will help write thank you letters to ensure that Aspire's supporters receive a personal thank you and recognition. Additionally, volunteers will be setting up beds for the community garden. 


Bridges to Independence (Maximum 10 Volunteers)

  • Volunteers will organize the food pantry at the Sullivan House Shelter. 


Culpepper Garden (Maximum 23 Volunteers )

  • Volunteers will work on planting, gardening, and ground clean up. 


CRi (N. Glebe Rd) (Maximum 20 Volunteers)

  • Volunteers will help with yard work and cleaning out the shed. 


CRi (N. Kensington St) (Maximum 18 Volunteers)

  • Volunteers will pull weeds and plant new seeds. 


EcoAction Arlington (Maximum 40 Volunteers)

  • Volunteers will be removing invasive plants in partnership with a Park Steward. All supplies, such as organic bags, gloves, and tools will be provided. Wearing sturdy shoes and comfortable clothing is recommended. Bring your own reusable water bottle and snacks. Please avoid bringing single use plastics to this event. 


Melwood (Maximum 3 Volunteers)

  • Volunteers will clean and prepare a large vegetable plot, then plant a variety of fresh vegetables. Volunteers will also assist with cleaning a smaller plot of land and planting seasonal flowers to beautify the area.


New Hope Housing (Maximum 10 Volunteers)

  • Volunteers will give New Hope Housing's shelter a vibrant new look for spring by cleaning and organizing the shelter.
