Warren for Senate: [link removed]
Ahead of
every Easter holiday, I often think about one of my favorite lessons I
learned in Sunday school: By doing good and acting in service to one
another, we can live a righteous life.
Donald Trump, on the other hand, is thinking about opportunities to make
   money.
That’s right, for as low as $200,000, corporate CEOs can slap their
corporate logo on Donald Trump dressed as the Easter Bunny at the White
House’s annual Easter Egg Roll event.
On the campaign trail, Trump promised the American people cheaper eggs at
the grocery store. In reality, he’s promising billionaire benefactors
“valuable brand visibility” deals at the White House while grocery prices
   still remain high.
We’re just two months into Trump’s second term, and his new administration
is already beating his earlier record of corruption. Ceding power to the
world’s richest man. Turning the White House lawn into a Tesla dealership.
   The list goes on.
Despite President Trump’s promises to fight for working families, he and
his circle of billionaires are pulling the strings of government to enrich
themselves. We need to call it out like it is: This is what absurd,
illegal corruption looks like. Plain and simple. And we need to fight
   back.
My colleagues in Congress and I just sent White House Chief of Staff Susie
Wiles a 10-page letter sounding the alarm on the overwhelming corruption
and vast conflicts of interest throughout the Trump administration, urging
   the President to:
     * Reinstate the government watchdogs who President Trump purportedly
fired, including all Inspectors General, the OGE Director, and the OSC
Director, and commit to protecting those offices from further
       political interference.
     * Thoroughly vet potential nominees for all conflicts of interest and
refuse to appoint anyone who would enter with clear conflicts that
existing recusal and divestment rules alone cannot resolve.
     * Promptly issue an ethics pledge and ensure robust enforcement.
     * Divest from his business holdings, in this case by either liquidating
the Trump Organization assets or placing them in a truly blind trust
       operated by an independent trustee.
     * Disclose his tax returns from the past three years.
     * Revoke Mr. Musk’s power to profit from his efforts to manipulate the
executive branch for his own benefit. Mr. Musk should also be required
to promptly release his financial disclosure form so that the public
can understand his potential conflicts of interest.
Look, if you’re going to talk about draining the swamp, be about it.
The American people should have complete confidence that government
officials are making decisions with only one factor in mind: the public
   interest.
Not their own pocketbooks. Not what Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos want. Not
corporate stock or shareholder value. The public interest.
Democrats can’t just roll over and play dead while Trump puts his personal
dealings ahead of our national interests. So I’m going to stay on this.
I’m going to keep exposing this level of corruption to the American people
   and demanding accountability.
And no matter what, I’m going to keep up the fight for broad
anti-corruption reform in our government, like banning members of Congress
and federal judges from owning and trading individual stocks, imposing an
enforceable code of conduct on the Supreme Court, and getting Big Money
   out of politics.
Thanks for being a part of this,
   Elizabeth

Elizabeth Warren has been leading the charge for years to root out corruption
from our government. Our campaign relies on small-dollar, grassroots support
to do this work and take on the influence of Big Money in our democracy.
