<[link removed]> <[link removed]>Dear Friend,
This week, over 800 Jews and allies gathered on a national call to speak for ourselves on Jewish safety. Together, we drove hundreds of calls, emails, and RSVPs to movement-wide actions to protect our democracy.

We heard powerful calls to action Tuesday night:
Leah Greenberg, Indivisible
“We know that real Jewish safety does not come from surveillance or scapegoating. It comes from solidarity, from democracy, from being part of that larger ‘Us’ … And what do we do? We organize. We organize as Jews, not as an isolated group advocating solely for our own protection, but as a proud part of a broader multiracial progressive multi-faith movement for freedom and democracy.”
Dove Kent, Diaspora Alliance
“So this is a pivotal moment. If the Jewish community collaborates with authoritarianism, sacrificing civil rights under the illusion of increased Jewish safety, then we will threaten our own future and the future of this country. We must defend free speech and dissent. Resisting authoritarianism demands broad, principled political alignment. Defending the rights of those targeted first strengthens protections for everyone.”
Rabbi Jill Jacobs, T’ruah
“We can simultaneously say that antisemitism is real — that Jews and Jewish institutions in the United States and beyond are suffering — and also that the U.S. has to protect the right to free speech and to protest. We can commit to protecting even speech that we might not agree with or that makes us uncomfortable because that's actually what the right to free speech means.”
Michael Lieberman, Southern Poverty Law Center
“When we're trying to address antisemitism or any kind of hate and extremism, prevention is the key. To effectively prevent antisemitism, we need to address root causes and structural racism, prioritize combating all forms of hate, promote mutual respect and understanding, and ensure that all individuals — regardless of their background — feel protected and valued.”
Jamie Beran, Bend the Arc
“As Jews, we will not allow our own pain and oppression to be used to harm others, or our country as a whole. We refuse to let this administration use us to carry out their cruel agenda. We know that Jewish safety can not come at the expense of our Palestinian and immigrant neighbors, or any other community.”
It couldn’t be more urgent — for our communities and our democracy — for Jews to speak for ourselves. ICE agents are continuing to disappear people in the false name of Jewish safety, like Rumeysa Ozturk.1
Every action taken, Congress member called, petition signed, and dollar raised is critical to protect our safety and freedoms. When we all take action together, it adds up to an incredible impact.
Here are three things you can do right now alongside thousands of other Jews and allies around the country:
