MARCH 2025 UPDATE FROM DR WAJID AKHTER
** Ramadan's Final Hours:
Praying for Hope, Action and Justice for all
------------------------------------------------------------
Assalamu alaikum!
The genocide in Gaza has resumed with devastating consequences—met with mostly empty words from politicians and the media. We have strongly condemned these atrocities and stand with the Al-Khair Foundation after the murder of their aid workers.
The Muslim Council of Britain (MCB) is working closely with members and partner organisations to plan decisive action, exploring every political and advocacy avenue available.
In these final hours of Ramadan 1446, let us remember: “Is not dawn close?” (Qur’an). It is always darkest before the light. We must make du’a and redouble our efforts so that, Insha’Allah, we witness the dawn of a free Palestine in our lifetime. Ameen.
Warmest regards,
Dr Wajid Akhter - Secretary General
