Last week, Gene emailed you introducing me as the new president of the League of Conservation Voters. I am enormously excited to take on this new role. LCV and the Conservation Voters Movement have been my professional home for nearly 16 years. I’m so proud of what we’ve built, and what we’re going to continue to build together.

Still, I have no illusions about starting my new role during a time when so much of what we’ve worked for — climate action, environmental justice, a strong democracy — is in peril. Our climate progress is in jeopardy, the very idea of being able to tackle racial inequality is at substantial risk, and democratic institutions are under assault, even in danger of buckling.

That’s why it’s more important than ever that LCV has your support, Friend. We need to grow our movement, share our vision for a safer, healthier future for all, and combat the chaos and harm caused by Trump, his billionaire friends, and extreme members of Congress. Please, give today.
