Trump is doubling down on it. As part of their agenda to dismantle the EPA, the Trump administration just announced a plan to dissolve its largest department, the Office of Research and Development, and fire over 1,000 scientists. These drastic EPA cuts are crippling the agency’s ability to monitor pollution and hold corporate polluters accountable. With fewer resources and fewer scientists, experts warn this will lead to dirtier drinking water, more lead contamination, and unchecked industrial waste flowing straight into our communities. They know exactly what they’re doing. They just don’t care. If it makes Big Oil corporations richer, the rest of us can suffer and drink sewage.
