Hey, True Texans!
Another month of meetings is in the books! The responses we get are so encouraging:
I want to thank you both from the bottom of my heart. Becoming involved with the True Texas Project is such a highlight in my life. The meetings and activities are so much fun. The excellent learning experience regarding the Texas legislature is vast. The TTP team members are amazing with astonishing personalities and a contributing knowledge base. More than that...everyone is so kind. I didn't realize how much fun I was missing out on life.
How do you like that? Our team could live on that for weeks! The point is... don't let yourself miss out. Meetings are only a small part of what we do, so see where you can fit us in and join us at a training, social event, legislative effort, campaign function, or yes... a monthly meeting!
And of course, we really want you to join us at Texas Tough... the granddaddy of all our events for the year!
Special Request:If you have ever been a recipient of the coveted Conservative Leader Award and earned a saber, please bring it with you to Texas Tough! We will do a group photo next to the Twin Sisters cannons immediately following the fireworks show.

March 2025 Announcements
TTP In The News
Can I brag on our President, Fran Rhodes, for a sec? She's our boots on the ground at the Capitol, and she was recently mentioned in a Dallas Express news article.
She's out there fighting on YOUR behalf, and she's pretty darn good at it. But don't tick her off! Did you read her Friday email with her weekly legislative update? That bill she spoke on (to end taxpayer-funded lobbying) was decimated by Republicans in the Senate. You can read her tough talk here (and take action). I thought it was one of the best emails Fran has written! She echoed every angry thought in my head.
What's funny is that Fran and I used to be able to play Good Cop/Bad Cop. She was the nice one; I was the one you don't mess with. Watch out, Texas... it's now Bad Cop/Really Bad Cop. We can take turns being the really bad one. Gotta love it!
Capitol Engagement:
Every Tuesday we meet up at the Capitol! If you bring a carpool, we'll pay for your gas!
Here are some important dates:
Kids' Day on Mar 25 (details & rsvp here) - we are technically full up, but we can't bear to turn anyone away! So sneak your name on the list if you want to!
Plus, there are more busses coming in April and May. Sign up! They are free, AND you get a free tshirt and a free lunch.
The events below didn't make it in time to be included on the above calendar, but details are posted online:
Collin County Dinner Social 3/20
Williamson County Coffee Social 3/22
Williamson County Farmers Market Meetup & Tarrant County Dinner Social on 3/29
Monthly TTP podcasts
Our TTP@Home podcast is offered on the 1st Friday of every month. Our latest episode was a great conversation with Rob Kohler on expanded gambling and the Texas lottery. Check it out... or any other shows you may have missed!
The next one drops Friday, April 4, with all our partnered organizations as we review and strategize where we're at mid-session of the Texas legislature. Fran and I recorded it on Thursday this week. I just love these people because they love Texas!
Never a dull moment, and that's how we like it! Thanks for being part of the True Texas army!
For the love of Texas, Julie McCarty, CEO True Texas Project
