Crime continues to ravage our state. There is only one party to blame for this tragedy. For too long, extreme progressives have used the guise of reducing mass incarceration to free serious threats to public safety.
These radicals have passed legislation that destroyed effective crime-fighting tools and has unleashed violence on the innocent. Just this week, a man who ate part of his victim's brain was granted supervised release from Connecticut psychiatric hospital.
At the Connecticut GOP, we will do what it takes to clean up our streets. We will prioritize protecting the law-abiding over the comfort of criminals. We will secure justice and protect human life and property.
