This week, we're going to update you on Blue State rallies and revolts! Since our blue state freedom caucuses don't have the numbers to defeat The Left's crazy policies in the legislature, they are going directly to THE PEOPLE.  Check it out:

MARYLAND

Maryland is facing a $3 billion budget deficit and naturally the Democrat supermajority wants to fleece taxpayers with massive tax hikes.  Left to their own accord, most Republican lawmakers would sit on their hands and either quietly support the tax hikes or quietly vote NO.  But not the Maryland Freedom Caucus.  They are loud in their opposition.

On Thursday, the MD Freedom Caucus took part in a "tax revolt" in front of the state capitol.  Believe it or not, corporate media is not trying to defend the Crazy Left.  They are actually providing honest coverage and the tax revolt is getting a lot of attention thanks to the MDFC.  Here's a must-see nightly news report.  Click on it to watch:

A day after the tax revolt, the Democrats held their own press conference to announce that they are no longer going to push for their tax hike on sugary drinks and snacks, business-to-business transactions, and they are no longer going to push for their crazy "delivery tax" (a 75-cent tax on home delivery packages like from Amazon).  

In its place, the Democrats are now proposing $500 million in spending cuts.  

It's too early to celebrate because the final bill hasn't been released or even debated on the floor, but one thing is for certain - PRESSURE WORKS!  

ILLINOIS

In Springfield, Illinois, the Democrat supermajority is going after parents by pushing a bill that would increase regulations on homeschool families.  

This is the #1 issue in the state right now for conservative voters who are being ignored by their Democrat representatives.  So earlier this week the Illinois Freedom Caucus welcomed hundreds of homeschool families to show their opposition to the heavy-handed legislation.

Now here's the truly disgusting part that just shows you how corrupt the "Democrat Machine" is in Illinois.  

The IL Freedom Caucus and the homeschool parents had the upper hand in this fight.  They likely had the votes to stop this harmful legislation in committee, but Democrat leaders temporarily removed two Democrat members off the committee - just for this vote - and subbed in two other Democrats to ensure that the bill passed.  

So rather than let the will of the people be served, the Democrats artificially manufactured the outcome they wanted and they got it.  But this fight isn't over.  The IL Freedom Caucus will challenge it on the floor and work with the Senate to kill it over there.

GRADING THE FREEDOM CAUCUS

The Club for Growth Foundation came out with their 2024 South Carolina scorecard this week.  The good news is that South Carolina Freedom Caucus members got all the high scores with 9 SCFC members receiving 100% ratings, with an overall average of 92%.

The bad news is that the rest of the SC House GOP did horrible.  Their average score was just 27%.  That's a massive 65% difference!

Likewise, Turning Point Action released their ongoing 2025 scorecard for Arizona.  The numbers will change as Arizona proceeds with its legislative session, but the tough graders at TPA have given the Arizona Freedom Caucus an average rating of 88.21% compared to just 65.55% for the rest of the Republicans in the legislature.

WHY THIS MATTERS: As these two scorecards show, and what most scorecards reveal across all states is that there is a BIG difference between Freedom Caucus members and your average Republican.  One is conservative and the other...not so much.
