John,
From the White House to Congress, Republicans are focused on one thing: creating a government of, by, and for the billionaires while decimating services for working people.
Each week, we’re learning more about Elon Musk’s efforts to dismantle the federal government. Musk’s cuts at the Social Security Administration are causing payment disruptions, with multiple people telling news outlets that their Social Security benefits have been cut off.[1][2]
Martin O’Malley, Social Security’s most recent Senate-confirmed commissioner, has warned that Musk and Trump’s actions will result in a “system collapse” within the “next 30 to 90 days.”[3]
While the administration is illegally dismantling federal agencies, congressional Republicans are pushing through their budget, which seeks to cut trillions of dollars from healthcare, nutrition, education, and more in order to pay for even more tax cuts for billionaires.
We’re fighting back against these billionaire attacks on critical services for working people and older Americans.
And this month, you can support our work with your vote.
Our friends at CREDO have selected Americans for Tax Fairness to compete with two other nonprofits for a share of $60,000 in critical funding. The more votes we get, the more money we’ll receive.
Click here to vote for Americans for Tax Fairness and power our campaign fighting back against attacks on working people that are meant to pay for more tax cuts for the rich.
Americans for Tax Fairness is leading the fight against attempts to make the Trump tax scam permanent on the backs of working people. If Republicans are looking for instances of “waste, fraud, and abuse”, they should first look at the tax code, which allows billionaires to pay lower tax rates than teachers, nurses, and firefighters.
Help us fight back against a government and economy that puts billionaires over working people. Add your name and vote for Americans for Tax Fairness today.
Thank you for your support in this critical moment.
