John,

Our country is going through a very challenging time. I will continue my bipartisan and unifying leadership on behalf of the North Country, which is in stark contrast to my far-left opponent who issued a tweet that is so repulsive, it's not even fit to print in our local newspapers.

As I call for us to unify and work together as fellow Americans for justice and accountability for George Floyd and urge us to work constructively to root out any form of racism, my far-left opponent issued a vile, divisive, and disgusting tweet that I know North Country voters will overwhelmingly reject this November. She followed up her tweet with a desperate call to fundraise off the death of George Floyd. It’s shameful.

I support the Constitutional right to peacefully protest and have been listening to input from our local community leaders and law enforcement to ensure we continue to strengthen and improve our community fabric and dialogue in the region. I do not support the rioting, anarchy, looting, destruction of private property, and violence that has already cost so many innocent lives across the country. I spoke publicly to the local press about this during my visit yesterday to a local manufacturer, Mold-Rite Plastics in Plattsburgh, while I work to help safely re-open the North Country economy. I agree with George Floyd's family that the destruction and violence debases the memory of George Floyd. I support the rule of law and the service of the National Guard sent to communities that have been burnt and destroyed across the nation to ensure the safety and security of all. It's clear my opponent, based on her own words, does not.

What is clear is that my opponent and Governor Cuomo, who is her biggest financial backer, will stop at nothing to smear me, attack me, or spread desperate lies about me. Just like during the impeachment sham – These far-left Democrats will stop at NOTHING to defeat me. Millions of dollars are pouring from Hollywood elites and other National Democrats who want to flip my upstate New York seat from red to blue.

I will continue to stand my ground against these unhinged attacks, but I will need your help to keep pace. If you can please donate today to send a clear message to National Democrats across the country that the North Country does NOT stand for my opponent's repulsive rhetoric and attacks.
