A lot of people are angry, John.
Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer had one job: Stand up to Donald Trump and protect the American people. Instead, Schumer and a group of other Senate Democrats handed Republicans exactly what they wanted and passed a continuing resolution funding bill that threatens Medicare, Medicaid, food assistance, and climate funding.
Is this really the best leadership the Democratic Party has to offer?
While these senators caved, every single House Democrat but one refused to sign off on this dumpster fire of a bill — including JanePAC-endorsed progressive leaders Reps. Greg Casar, Jasmine Crockett, Maxwell Frost, and Summer Lee. They fought back, while Schumer and company waved the white flag.
That raises a critical question: Should Schumer continue leading Senate Democrats, or is it time for him to step down?
Before the end of the day, take a moment to tell us: Should Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer step down? If so, who should replace him? [[link removed]]
