NPR reports a "Deep sense of outrage and betrayal" as House Democrats
react to Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer’s announcement that he
will vote YES to advance a Republican funding bill that every House
Democrat except one voted against.

Instead of the "clean" bill Democrats support to avoid a government
shutdown, the Republican bill legitimizes Trump and Musk’s illegal
slashing of Social Security, veterans benefits, and other programs
millions of people depend on – all to give trillions in tax cuts to
billionaires.
