John,
Elon Musk and Donald Trump have broken Social Security’s universal promise.
For nearly a century, Social Security has paid benefits in full and on time every month. Through wars, pandemics, and recessions, we have been able to count on Social Security. But because of DOGE cuts, we are hearing reports from people whose benefits are being terminated without warning:1
Others are being erroneously declared “dead”:2
For every one of these stories, there are at least 10 more people who don’t get in touch with reporters. And this is only going to get worse as DOGE continues to fire people from the Social Security Administration.
If you didn’t get your Social Security benefits this month, DON’T donate to us. But if you can afford it, we’re fighting to restore Social Security’s promise, and we’re up against the richest man in the world. Can you chip in $7?
The Oklahoma City man whose benefits were terminated without explanation was born on a military base in Germany, and had to wait on hold on the Social Security Administration’s 800 number for 2 ½ hours. If Elon’s cuts go through, that wait could double or even triple―if he can get help at all! They are slashing our benefits and destroying the means we have of restoring them. That’s why we’re putting pressure on politicians to stand up for our earned benefits.
Generations of Americans built our Social Security system to ensure that every American has the chance to retire in dignity. And I’ll be damned if we’re going to let Donald Trump and Elon Musk dismantle what we've built over nearly a century.
Rush a donation to FIGHT BACK against DOGE cuts!
Thank you,
Michael Phelan Social Security Works
P.S. If your check is missing, we do NOT want you to donate to us―we know how precious those Social Security dollars are. We’re sending you this message so you can see that people are fighting for you.
