Blue Letter Main Story: Hearts Of Darkness
Cliff’s Note: Cruel “King” Trump Descends Deeper Into Fascist Abyss
Donald Trump’s never exactly been a fan of the rule of law. You know, the whole checks and balances thing? It’s as relevant to him as real hair. Or Tiffany.
But even by his authoritarian-curious standards, this is next-level terrifying: his administration—excuse me, his wannabe fascist regime—just continued deporting people even after a federal judge explicitly said, hey, don’t do that. Because in Trump’s America, court orders are suggestions—like tax law or marriage vows.
This is straight out of the playbook of every tinpot tyrant he idolizes. Court says no? Ignore it. Constitution says you can’t do it? Pretend it doesn’t exist. It is part & parcel to the MAGA dream of turning the U.S. government into totalitarian Disney, where only laws matter that Trump deems useful—like making sure he never faces consequences, or ensuring McDonald’s serves hamberders til the moment it closes.
The Enablers
Let’s not pretend it’s just Trump going rogue. He’s got plenty of ass smoochers. At this moment HIS Justice Department is arguing the judge’s order wasn’t “enforceable” because it was “oral.” So the next time a judge reads a sentence out loud in court, it’s…just a suggestion? Then, there are his elected suck-ups, like Bronze-Age creep, Chuck Grassley, who makes dirt seem young.
The spry 147-yr old had this to say about the judge’s decision:
“Another day, another judge unilaterally deciding policy for the whole country. This time to benefit foreign gang members…If the Supreme Court or Congress doesn’t fix, we’re headed towards a constitutional crisis.”
Let me help you out, Chuck. I know because you put in time babysitting Stonewall Jackson you think you have a say in this. But, Judge’s make decisions all the time “unilaterally" you dunderheaded, dips*t, or should we overturn all criminal court decisions? Also, Methuselah, there’s no proof these are foreign gang members. We’re supposed to just believe you, a guy who tried to help Trump coup and has been in DC so long he voted against a Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday. Yes, that’s actually true. Oh, and finally, YOU’RE THE ONE BRINGING ON A CONSTITUTIONAL CRISIS!
MAGA MOOKS
Trump’s entire movement is built on lawlessness, cruelty and a dictator fantasy. The same Republicans who scream law and order go mute when their cult leader’s the one wiping his ketchup-stained little fingers all over our Constitution. So what does he do to up the ante now? Does he deport the judge issuing the order?
The reason these knuck-scraping pinheads are so angry is that, surprisingly, the courts have been doing an incredible job constraining Trump, including Reagan, Bush I & II and even Trump nominees. But they’re not an impenetrable safeguard anymore. Even if a judge does the right thing, our enforcement mechanism is mostly...the executive branch. Our Founders figured Congress would remove an out-of-control executive. Our Founders clearly never envisioned a man with power who resembles the bookkeeper in The Untouchables, in appearance and valor, Squeaker Mike Johnson.
This isn’t a Trump problem. It’s a democracy problem. He’s long made it clear he thinks laws don’t apply to him. The question is, what now? What does this judge do in response, and what are we willing to do? Or, the next time a judge tries to rein him in, what stops him from..refusing again? Ignoring every legal check on his power?
We’ve seen this movie before—history books are littered with strongmen who started “bending” the law and ended in genocidal infamy. So, yeah, corporate-media assholes, maybe cover some of this? The rest of us? We’d better be ready to hit the streets. Because if Trump’s acting like court orders don’t matter less than 60 days in, start being creative in your head about where this may be headed if we don’t put a stop to it.

…OTHER STORIES WE’RE WATCHING
The anger at Democratic Senate Leader Chuck Schumer is still palpable. He just postponed numerous book-tour events. Here’s the thing: No matter what side you’re on re the Continuing Resolution, there is no debate over how he did it. To say you won’t budge & capitulate 12 hrs later is failure. It’s why we mock Trump: Threaten a tariff, immediately cave. This made Dems look weak. And in the meantime, House members in tough districts took an unnecessary vote they now have to defend.
I’ve long thought it’s time for a new generation of leadership. This cemented it. It’s not just Schumer. Dick Durbin running Judiciary for Dems, while there were non-stop Supreme Court scandals and not constantly calling for a massive investigation—loudly!—was another failure that’s hard to comprehend. It’s well past time for new blood in the Senate. Unleash Chris Murphy.
Fully endorsed. We can ask for it back if/when we've earned it. Put it near Nice, for now, which has vibrant French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Corsican, North African & West African populations and a bevy of local dialects:
Elon Musk’s Daily Stoopid. Remember, they told us he was a real-life Tony Stark. Unlike his claim below, Musk’s hurt many by encouraging Nazis & firing govt workers for no reason & no authority to do so. But God forbid the EQ-challenged, Apartheid-baby who still sees an incel in the mirror ever accept accountability.
Nobody has committed violence against him. We all hate him because he’s shown himself to be one of the bigger d*cks in the history of the world. A guy who took other people’s ideas, lived off government subsidies, whines when he’s insulted, but claims to be against government spending and for free speech. Uh huh.
