Our lives are on the line.

Dear MoveOn member,

You've probably already seen some of the disgusting actions from President Donald Trump and unelected billionaire Elon Musk as they bulldoze over our rights and gut our public services.

Now, as Congress heads home for recess, we have to continue our pressure against this MAGA takeover. It's devastating to see how the Trump administration, with the help of Elon Musk's so-called Department of Government Efficiency, has been giddy for weeks at just the thought of gutting care for millions of people—whether it's Social Security or Medicaid, food assistance for children, or funding for veterans.1

And we've had enough.

Normally, we'd confront these members of Congress at town halls. But instead, Republicans are avoiding public town halls where constituents like us can share our frustrations, concerns, and demands. This is not business as usual, and we are still in a state of crisis and chaos because of the Trump administration's actions.

This week, while Congress is on recess, and representatives are back in their districts, we'll be ready for them.

Here are just a few things you can to do to take action this week:

      1. Call your member of CongressWe need as many people as possible to call House Republicans and put the pressure on. Call 877-650-0039 to tell your representative about how real people are impacted by cuts to their health care, or anything else that's on your mind.
      2. Sign the petition: Demand your representative hold a town hall by signing the petition (or create your own!)
      3. Do an office visit: Drop by your Republican MOC's office to deliver a letter or your copy of the petition.
      4. Submit a letter: Share a testimonial to MoveOn about how you or the people you love are being impacted.
      5. Print out a sign: Show your solidarity by printing out a sign—or making your own—and putting it in your window.

And with any of these actions, you can invite friends to take these steps with you. It's direct, effective action you can take from anywhere in the country. There are also protests, office visits, rallies, and town halls throughout the week. While they won't be in every community, you can check out if an event organized by MoveOn or one of our partners is in your area.

Our pressure is working, and Republicans are running scared—so we’re turning up the pressure. All of us need to come together, make our voices heard, and get the job done.

Thanks for all you do.

P.S. To kickoff our actions and mobilizations this week, we're hosting our monthly Volunteer Network Call. We'll be joined by Representative Ro Khanna (CA-17) to talk about the moment we're in and how MoveOn members like you can plug into this critical moment. RSVP and join us for our monthly Volunteer Network Call TODAY, Monday, March 17 call at 8 p.m. ET (7 CT/6 MT/5 PT).

Want to support MoveOn's work? Donald Trump and his MAGA allies expect us to give up. But we will not give them what they want. We will never stop working to defend our fundamental freedoms and protect our democracy. MoveOn has been leading the movement against right-wing extremism for 26 years, and we promise you that we will still be here every step of the way forward.

Will you start a monthly donation to sustain MoveOn's work to protect our freedoms and democracy under Trump's administration?

Yes, I'll chip in $5 a month.

No, I'm sorry, I can't make a monthly donation.
