John,
When Elon Musk seeks to stop federal payments and cut trillions of dollars more from federal services, you can bet he’s not cutting off payments to his own companies.
Over the last decade, Musk’s companies have received $15 billion in federal contracts.1 And, his company Tesla has benefited from Trump’s tax scam, paying a federal income tax rate of just 0.4% over the last three years on nearly $11 billion in U.S. income.2
This is what a billionaire takeover of our government looks like―a massive upward transfer of wealth, which takes our tax dollars away from states and communities and hands them over to the ultra-wealthy in the form of government contracts and tax breaks.
Thankfully, the American people are fighting back and our outrage is being felt at the highest levels.
When tens of thousands of people rallied in Washington DC and in state capitals last week to hold Donald Trump and Elon Musk accountable, they were joined by senators and representatives who share our concern for the future of our country. And the hundreds of thousands of contacts to Congress we’ve already encouraged are just the start of efforts that will stop damage the plutocrats want to inflict.
We will not stand for a billionaire and would-be dictator tearing apart every aspect of the federal government―from public health to education to nutrition assistance and more.

John,
If there was any doubt about Donald Trump and Elon Musk’s plan to dismantle our democracy, it’s been answered.
From seizing access to federal payment systems including Social Security to freezing federal funds that pay for community health centers, Head Start programs, and more, well after courts ordered the freeze to stop, to dismantling entire departments such as USAID (and the Department of Education is reportedly next)1, this billionaire takeover of the United States is happening at warp speed.
But we still have power.
We’ve seen how massive public outcry has already stopped several of their illegal attempts at destroying government. Activists and everyday people are standing up and fighting back.
This past week, tens of thousands of activists rallied in state capitals across the country to hold Trump and Musk accountable.2 States, civil liberties groups, and labor unions are suing to stop unconstitutional acts―and winning.3,4,5
And, together, we’re sending hundreds of thousands of messages to Congress demanding they defend the most vulnerable from relentless attacks―from protecting immigrant communities to Medicaid recipients to SNAP beneficiaries.
This is just the beginning of a long, hard fight.
Donate today to power the fight against a would-be dictator who is trying to seize control of every aspect of our democracy in order to benefit millionaires, billionaires, and corporations.

We must continue to raise the alarm that Project 2025 is not just a right-wing dream or wish list. It is the administration’s roadmap to dismantling our government. And we will fight back.
