“I’ve experienced hope, and I’ve experienced hopelessness. Now that I’m a child of God, I’ve been covered by the blood of Christ. ... I have a hope for His return for me.”—Incarcerated man,
Joseph Harp Correctional Center, Oklahoma
The Church outside came together with the Church inside of Joseph Harp Correctional Center in Oklahoma to worship God at a recent Prison Fellowship(R) Hope Event.
Led by a worship team, incarcerated men raised their voices in song and praise—quite a few of them were hearing the Gospel of Jesus Christ for the first time.
“This journey has been one that I wish I didn’t have to take,” one participant said. “But because God is in my life, He’s given me the strength to endure. And I thank Him for that.”
