Yesterday the unthinkable happened—Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and a group of Senate Democrats caved to Donald Trump and the Republicans by passing a continuing resolution that threatens Medicare, Medicaid, food assistance and so much more.

We understand—there was no perfect choice in front of them. There usually isn’t. But these Senate Democrats gave away all their negotiating power, before they even got to the table. This is exactly what Trump’s GOP was hoping for.

This is not the kind of leadership our country needs right now, John.

JanePAC-endorsed members of Congress like Reps. Greg Casar, Jasmine Crockett and Maxwell Frost are fighting back every step of the way. They've been outspoken about the attacks on our Democracy and federal agencies, and they refused to just roll over when Trump came knocking. They stood united in the House and voted against this terrible excuse for a spending bill.

That’s what real leadership looks like and we need a hell of a lot more of that in the Democratic Party.
