As-salamu 'alaykum John, 

Ramadan is a month of growth—growth of the soul, growth in our connection to Allah, and growth in our duty to serve our communities. As we fast and reflect, we are reminded that our faith compels us to invest in the future—to plant seeds today so that the generations after us may reap the rewards tomorrow.

At Emgage, this belief drives everything we do. We are building the next generation of Muslim leaders through our organizing work and our Emerging Leaders Program—nurturing the young minds and passionate hearts who will carry our community forward.

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) taught us, “When a human being dies, all their deeds end except three: a continuing charity, beneficial knowledge, and a child who prays for them.” [Sahih Muslim] Investing in our youth—empowering them with the tools, knowledge, and confidence to lead—is among the greatest forms of sadaqah jariyah, a charity that will continue to benefit us long after we are gone.

Our organizing team is on the ground, day in and day out—registering voters, building community power, and equipping our youth with the leadership skills they need to transform our future. Through our Emerging Leaders Program, we are identifying the trailblazers of tomorrow—mentoring them, nurturing their talents, and giving them the foundation to lead our community with courage and vision.

But this work requires all of us. It requires our collective commitment to ensuring that the next generation not only inherits a better future but is prepared to lead it.

This Ramadan, your support is an investment in that future. It is an act of faith that the seeds we plant today will blossom into a legacy of justice, empowerment, and dignity.
