incumbent even though nobody thought she had a shot.

But this may be the toughest race yet.

And we need to be prepared for one major X-factor: Elon Musk.

In the 2024 elections, Elon Musk spent $290 MILLION to tip the scales in
Donald Trump and the GOP’s favor. He even attempted to influence elections
right here in New Jersey — his PAC spent over $1 million to buy a toss-up
House seat for Republicans.

All of that spending clearly paid off — because now he’s been given
unprecedented power to run the federal government and slash critical
services for working families across New Jersey.

Even worse? He’s not stopping there.

Not even two months into Trump’s second term, Elon Musk has already
launched a seven-figure ad buy in support of an extremist state Supreme
Court candidate in Wisconsin.

And given that national Republicans see a huge opportunity to flip the New
Jersey governor’s seat, it’s only a matter of time before he gets involved
here, too.

New Jersey cannot afford a governor who is beholden to Elon Musk. Not now,
not ever. Our best chance at ensuring that never happens is by electing a
strong Democratic governor. And there’s nobody with a better record of
WINNING in the face of those attacks than Mikie. It’s how she delivered
the biggest red-to-blue swing in the country in 2018 and why she
consistently overperforms the top of the ticket.
