The detention of green card holder Mahmoud Khalil for non-violent political activism has raised widespread alarm about the fascist orientation of the Trump regime. Capitalist democracy embraces the idea of individual rights, but fails to deliver on its promises when it comes to the rights of workers and oppressed people.
