The last year has been nothing short of frustrating. I don’t think I’m the only one to feel that way.

Republican hypocrisy has always been a part of their politics, but it’s gotten to the point where it’s absurd to a degree I did not think possible. Their recent moves to give trillions in tax cuts to the rich while calling themselves a party for working class people was the last straw for me. In a recent Homeland Security Meeting, I let out some of that frustration that had been building for years.

Republicans are going to continue trying to push through their hateful agenda. I need your help to stop them. ([link removed])

Republicans say we’re broke. But recently, my Republican colleagues voted to give out $4.5 trillion in tax benefits to the rich. If they didn’t give away tax breaks, we would not be broke.

Republicans say they care about working families. But yesterday, my Republican colleagues voted to defund Medicaid and SNAP. Twenty-six percent of my constituents rely on Medicaid.

Republicans say they care about cybersecurity. But my Republican colleagues on the Homeland Security Committee do nothing to stop Elon from illegally accessing Americans’ data.

Republicans say they want to hire federal workers. But my Republican colleagues on the Homeland Security Committee do nothing to stop the Musk-Trump purge of qualified, competent federal employees, including 6,000 veterans.

This absurdity has to be put to an end.
