Fellow activist,

Did you know that Pennsylvania is one of only seven states in the entire country that votes for judges and justices in partisan elections? Not only that, but PA is one of only two states (us and Wisconsin) that are holding key court elections in 2025.

That means we are once again going to be the home of one of the most high-stakes and expensive races that will take place this year. Help us prepare by rushing $25 now → ([link removed]

Two years ago, PA set the record with the most expensive judicial elections ever, and with control of the PA Supreme Court up for grabs, this year will be no different. These races will undoubtedly attract a mountain of dark money from funders like PA’s richest man, Jeffrey Yaas, and outside billionaires like Elon Musk. With the Trump administration pushing an authoritarian agenda that threatens our democracy, our rights, and the well-being of millions here at home and around the planet, we are going to need all hands on deck to protect the independence of our state and federal courts.

Over the last decade, decisions coming out of Pennsylvania’s Supreme Court have positively impacted millions of Pennsylvanians: Granted environmental groups the right to intervene in cases affecting greenhouse gas regulations.Declared that Pennsylvania’s 2011 U.S. congressional districting map violated the Pennsylvania Constitution and required a new map to be drawn.
Ordered the PA Commonwealth Court to hold trial on whether state officials were violating the state’s constitution by failing to adequately and equitably fund public education.Upheld COVID-19 mediation efforts.Ruled against several attempts directed to contest the votes of millions of Pennsylvanians, most notably from the 2020 election cycle.

This is the power that our courts have, and we are counting on you to help us ensure that voters know what is at stake.

An independent and fair judiciary is needed now more than ever before in the Commonwealth. Will you help us engage and mobilize Pennsylvanians for these key races by rushing $25 or more today?

The New Pennsylvania Project (NPP) is a voting rights organization with a year-round primary focus on voter registration, civic education, and mobilization. NPP centers historically disenfranchised and often neglected Black, Indigenous and other people of color, immigrant communities and the youth in our work. Through civic engagement, we ensure all eligible voters feel compelled to exercise their freedom to vote in the Commonwealth.
