Union workers power many of the key services provided by the District of Columbia government. From emergency first responders to teachers to DPW workers to agency staff and more, union workers make DC run.

Today, the Senate will vote on a bill that would take away DC's power to administer its own budget and immediately cut spending on key services by over $1 billion. This is a threat to union workers in DC but also jeopardizes the safety and stability of DC as a whole. Call priority Senators today and tell them to stop this attempt to grab power from DC:

This bill is a power grab, plain and simple. It would not save the federal government any money but would make every District agency and all the workers they employ vulnerable to the same type of chaos we're witnessing at the federal agency level. We can't afford to let that happen.

No matter where you live, call priority Senators TODAY and tell them to VOTE NO on cloture and NO on this spending bill
. If you support DC's teachers, transit workers, DPW workers, municipal agency staff, or more, take action today to tell Senators to VOTE NO.
