Friend,
Imagine you had to spend thousands of dollars to find out what your kids
are learning in school, only to have your reputation ruined in the process.
This nearly became a reality for Nicole Solas, a Rhode Island mother of
two, if it were not for the Goldwater Institute fighting on her behalf.
Nicole wanted to know if her kindergartener’s school was teaching
critical race theory and gender theory. When she requested to see the
school’s curriculum, she was sent a $74,000 bill for public records and
was then sued by the teachers' union!
I’m Victor Riches, President and CEO of the Goldwater Institute. At the
Goldwater Institute, we know that parents have a fundamental constitutional
right to control and direct their children's education.
We’re fighting on behalf of Nicole and other parents across the country
by providing pro-bono legal support to protect their constitutional
rights.
Your gift of $10, $35, $50, or more will help us defend
parental rights across the country. Click below to send your gift

Our team is working in all 50 states to hold officials accountable to
parents like Nicole. In Maine, for example, we’re defending the rights of
Amber Lavigne.
Amber was shocked to discover a chest binder — a garment used to flatten
breasts — hidden in her 13-year-old daughter’s room. It was secretly
given to her daughter by a school counselor who was advising her on gender
transitioning and instructed her not to tell her parents.
The Goldwater Institute filed a federal lawsuit on Amber’s behalf against
the Great Salt Bay Community School Board for violating her
constitutionally protected parental rights.
Across the U.S., school bureaucrats claim to know better than parents
what’s best for kids and are cutting families out of the equation — in
violation of the U.S. Constitution.
Your gift of
