Friend –

These have been a rough few weeks. From threats to the rights of federal workers, <[link removed]> immigrants, <[link removed]> and LGBTQ+ communities, <[link removed]> we are now on the defensive, fighting for what is rightfully ours.

But these weeks have made our commitments clearer than ever. The truth is, we love D.C. We love D.C. culture. We love D.C. people. And in D.C., we love fairness, justice, freedom, and the preservation of our civil rights and civil liberties. At the ACLU-D.C., we fight for what we love.

Today, we invite you to join our fight and to show your D.C. love. Please join us for a social hour with drinks and appetizers as we come together to celebrate and honor outstanding people defending civil rights and liberties in D.C. <[link removed]>
