Hi there, We’re a few weeks into Donald Trump’s presidency, so I want to take a moment to touch base with you. I’ve heard from many of you who are deeply concerned about what Donald Trump and Elon Musk are doing to our country, so let me be clear: House Democrats will continue to use every tool at our disposal to stop them from hurting the American people. We have filed legislation to prohibit unlawful access to your personal information. We’ve partnered with constituents and grassroots organizations to stand up publicly against the efforts to steal taxpayer dollars to fund billionaire tax cuts. And we’ve supported lawsuits that have already resulted in restraining orders against the enormous overreach of Elon Musk and his Musketeers. I’m encouraged by these early results — but we know this is just the beginning of our fight. What they’re doing is dangerous, unprecedented, and will impact millions of everyday people, including you. That’s why I’m checking in, and it’s why I only have one question for you:
The GOP doesn’t care who they hurt. When they launch new attacks on our freedoms and the middle class, House Democrats will be there to stop them. Thank you for reading and letting us know how this administration has affected you. — Katherine
