Call on Congress to Reject President Trump’s Criminal Gaza Plan

Over the past week, President Trump has double- and triple-downed on his dangerous proposal for the US to “take over” Gaza. His reckless insistence that the United States participate in the forced displacement of Palestinians from Gaza is a clear call for ethnic cleansing– a war crime.

Trump’s claim that this forced displacement could occur without US military involvement is both deceptive and absurd. The mass expulsion of a population of this scale would inevitably require force, making his denials not only unrealistic but also deeply irresponsible.

Congress must make it clear that not a single taxpayer dollar will be spent on the forced displacement of Palestinian civilians living there.

President Trump’s Call for Ethnic Cleansing in Gaza Endangers Ceasefire, Exposes His Reckless Agenda

February 10, 2025- We remain horrified and appalled by President Trump’s continued push for the forced displacement of Palestinians from Gaza—an unmistakable call for ethnic cleansing. Over the past week, rather than backtracking on his dangerous rhetoric, Trump has doubled down. He has made it clear that under his plan to “take over” Gaza, there would be no right of return for Palestinians. His reckless insistence on this course of action is now directly jeopardizing the fragile ceasefire and return of the hostages.

Reports confirm that Hamas has delayed the next round of hostage releases, citing an inability to trust the United States’ guarantees for the ceasefire given Trump’s statements. Mediators have now postponed talks until the Trump administration provides clarity on its plans –an alarming indication of how destabilizing his rhetoric has become.

Trump’s claim that this forced displacement could occur without US military involvement is both deceptive and absurd. The mass expulsion of a population of this scale would inevitably require force, making his denials not only unrealistic but also deeply irresponsible.

NEW REPORT- The Year of Annexation and Expulsion: Summary of Settlement Activity in 2024

The second year of the Netanyahu-Smotrich-Ben Gvir government is the year in which the government’s annexation plan began to be implemented in practice, as stipulated in the coalition agreement at the end of 2022. As a reminder, in 2023, the Settlement Administration was established within the Ministry of Defense, headed by Minister Smotrich. The administration was created as part of the implementation of the coalition agreements between Likud and Religious Zionism. At the same time, the appointment of Itamar Ben Gvir as Minister responsible for the police led to a significant reduction in law enforcement on settler violence against Palestinians in the West Bank.

The Good, the Bad and the Ugly of USAID’s Middle East Funding
By Gabby Deutch and Lahav Harkov in Jewish Insider on February 11, 2025

When Project Rozana received a multimillion-dollar grant from USAID in 2022 to support its work training Israeli and Palestinian nurses side by side, the NGO’s leaders called it a chance to “move people forward positively from fear and distrust to hope.”

A year later, that hope was tested, when the Oct. 7 Hamas terror attacks upended the Middle East and dramatically changed Project Rozana’s work, forcing many of its trainings to shift online as Israel placed more stringent restrictions on Palestinians coming from the West Bank into Israel for work.

But in recent weeks, Project Rozana was making progress in again bringing the nurses together, coming from four Israeli hospitals and four Palestinian hospitals in the West Bank and east Jerusalem. Project Rozana planned a major educational event about diabetes at Israel’s Sheba Medical Center for later this month. But when President Donald Trump paused nearly all of USAID’s funding in late January, the training had to be canceled.
