John,

Two years ago today, three students were killed in a shooting at Michigan
State University. Their lives were taken far too soon. We share in the
anguish of their families, friends, and the MSU community who are still
grieving.

Following the events of February 13th, students across Michigan—including
at the MSU chapter of MFOL, who had just themselves experienced the
unthinkable, took action and organized their communities, leading to
Governor Gretchen Whitmer signing new gun safety laws that are the most
significant firearm safety laws Michigan has enacted in almost 30 years.

And we're going to keep honoring them with action. Today and every day. It
won’t bring them back, or paper over the tremendous pain that their loss
leaves. But we can do everything in our power to make sure a tragedy like
this doesn’t happen again.

We will always hold this tremendous loss close to our hearts, and hold
those left behind even tighter still. We’ll never stop fighting to put an
end to gun violence. In their honor, and in honor of everyone we’ve lost.

In solidarity,

March For Our Lives

Today and every day, we honor the lives taken at Michigan State University
on February 13, 2023:

Arielle Anderson, 19
Alexandria Verner, 20
Brian Fraser, 20
