The Trump Administration is suing Governor Hochul and the State of New York.

Governor Hochul has made it clear: She will not back down from the fight against the Justice Department’s publicity stunt.

Our communities deserve to be safe and Governor Hochul will continue to follow existing state laws that protect the safety of all New Yorkers by cracking down on violent criminals. But there's no way Governor Hochul is letting federal agents, or Elon Musk's shadowy DOGE operation, get unfettered access to the personal data of any New Yorker in the DMV system.

New York is proud of its rich history and diversity because of the immigrants who have come to our state to search for a better life — People like Governor Hochul’s grandparents, who left Ireland looking for the American dream.

She will fight to ensure that our state remains a welcoming place for families who want to work, pay taxes, and contribute to our vibrant communities.

A smoke-and-mirrors lawsuit from the Trump administration will not intimidate Governor Hochul, that’s for sure.
