Submit your intentions, Invoking the Holy Family of Jesus, Mary & Joseph, 3 Holy Masses, Feb. 19-21.

Dear Friend,

So many of you have contacted me asking for prayers for: 

• children/grandchildren stopped going to Holy Mass
• a troubled marriage
• finding a Catholic spouse for the Sacrament of Marriage
• families opting out of Catechism classes and the Sacraments for their children
• couples living together with no plans for marriage 
• a family member’s reconciliation with God before death
• healing of loneliness and rejection, from an elderly person whose family does not want to take that person into their home

Here is an opportunity to join me in three days of prayers, as we invoke the powerful Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph. What intentions will you submit for the Holy Masses, that will be offered, from Feb. 19-21? 

It seems that our society is pushing to destroy the family. Marriage is threatened by the plagues of divorce or “just living together” until one is attracted to another person. Same-sex unions have broken the divine and natural laws. Divorce has become so common. Many children are raised without discipline, and their potential is dashed by abuse or neglect.

But there are examples throughout the history of our Catholic Church of how strong families have formed the true foundation of society. The very first example is the Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph. They faced many trials including homelessness, public scorn, harsh environments and traveling conditions. And most especially the suffering the Blessed Mother felt, knowing that her Son must die to save the world.

Let us imitate the lives of the Holy Family, who are our support in life and our hope in death. 

Tomorrow is St. Valentine’s Day.  Why not give us the names of your loved ones by including them in the three Holy Masses as a spiritual gift. It is the greatest gift that will last forever!
