Friend-

Happy Valentine’s Day! Today is a celebration of love in all its forms—a day to lift up our neighbors, bring joy to our community, and stand in solidarity with those who need it most.

But as we pause to share kindness, we must also acknowledge the dangerous attacks we’re seeing from the new Trump Administration 2.0. The President’s unprecedented attempts to roll back protections for LGBTQ+ folks and other vulnerable communities threaten the very values of love, inclusion, and justice that make Philadelphia strong.

In the spirit of brotherly love, sisterly affection, and sibling solidarity, we can rise to this moment by reminding ourselves what love in action truly means:

Reach out to a neighbor—whether it’s a simple hello, a note, or lending a hand to someone who needs it, every small gesture makes a difference.

Volunteer your time—there are countless ways you can contribute to local programs and initiatives that help families, seniors, and others in our community.

Support local businesses—our local shops, restaurants, and entrepreneurs are the heart of our community. Show them love by shopping small and supporting their growth.

Now, more than ever, we need each other. As these attacks on our rights grow more brazen, our unified support for each other can speak louder than words.

I want you to know that I am fighting for you, every day in City Hall. I won’t stop defending Philadelphians from attacks on our most vulnerable communities. That’s why, right now, I’m asking you to take an even bigger step and help me continue to do this work.

Will you join me in taking a stand and defending the values we hold dear? Your donation—no matter the size—will help us continue fighting for a Philadelphia where everyone is protected, respected, and free to be themselves.

Can you support my efforts with a $14 donation to help us continue to support our Philadelphia community?

Wishing you and your loved ones a beautiful Valentine’s Day filled with joy and a wonderful Eagles Parade!

Thanks, as always.

In service,
Rue Landau
