Dear John,

Valentine’s Day is here ðŸ’™ This year, we are shining the light on love stories of refugees, like Mussa and Jamila from Sudan, whose strength and hope inspire us all to spread kindness and compassion.

Mussa and Jamila are a young couple from Sudan who had just begun their life together when conflict forced them to flee. War robbed them of their big wedding dreams, but the promise they made each other kept them going. Their journey took them across the border into Ethiopia, where they found safety at Sherkole refugee camp. Despite the challenges, their love held them together, proving that hope and resilience can bloom anywhere. Read more about their story.💙

With Ramadan ðŸŒ™ just around the corner, many refugee families will be observing this special time far from home. Your small act of kindness can help provide essentials like food, shelter, and support to those who need it most.

Wishing you a joyful Valentine’s Day, from all of us at UNHCR!
