Walk with Us!

On Saturday, April 5, join us on a guided morning walk from Courthouse to Rosslyn. Led by Vision Zero Program Manager Christine Baker, we'll learn about a variety of improvements the County has made to this busy corridor to increase safety for all people. The walk is free but advance registration is required.

Weigh in on Arlington's Transportation Future. After receiving public feedback, Arlington County has developed a draft vision and goals for Arlington's Transportation Future. Provide feedback here.

Move More on National Walking Day. April 2 is National Walking Day, a day established by the American Heart Association to raise awareness of the health benefits of walking. Save the date and go for a walk that day, whether you plan a walking meeting with colleagues or decide to walk to the grocery store to do your shopping. You'll be glad you did!

Take a Bike Class. Register for BikeArlington's April adult bicycle education classes, including a learn to ride class and a trail riding basics class. Hosted in partnership with the Washington Area Bicyclist Association, classes are just $10 for Arlington residents.

Sign up for Bike to Work Day. Bike to Work Day is Thursday, May 15. Register for one of eight Arlington pit stops and celebrate this fun, healthy, and environmentally friendly active transportation mode.

Recalling a Groundbreaking Walk for Women's History Month. In honor of Women's History Month, we're spotlighting Kathy Sullivan, the first American woman to walk in space. Hear her reflect on her historic journey here.
