We’ve all been seeing the news in D.C.: complete chaos, reckless budget cuts, and mass layoffs of public servants. Now, the actions of MAGA Republicans in Washington threaten our public schools in Pennsylvania.
Federal sources account for 7.4% of the Pennsylvania Department of Education budget. That may not seem like much, but this funding is critical to supporting disabled and gifted students, disadvantaged students, teacher education problems, and more.
“If that were suddenly removed … it would be catastrophic.”

We’ve fought hard to make progress: securing funding for public education, defending workers’ rights, and standing up for Pennsylvanians against right-wing extremism. But all of that is on the line if we lose our majority.
