This is important. We're all in this together.

Our Continued Work and Growing Leadership

Dear Friend,

As you may know, last year was a year of growth for our organization. With the successful merger between NVAHA and the Alliance for Housing Solutions (AHS), our Board adopted a new mission, vision, and brand—setting the stage for deeper local engagement. Our strategic plan is now in motion, establishing local alliances in each of the five major jurisdictions we serve. Thanks to our growing team and strengthened partnerships, we are more committed than ever to increasing the supply of and equitable access to affordable housing in Northern Virginia through education, advocacy, and community partnership.

I want to thank our Staff, Leadership Council and Board, who work hard to meet the diverse housing needs of Northern Virginia communities through alliances that are locally responsive and regionally united. Our Year in Review lists our Supporters who are vital to our work.

I am excited to announce that Hanna Metuda has been promoted to Deputy Director, while continuing as Alexandria Director. I also want to recognize Alice Hogan as our Arlington Director, who through AHS, gave us this important model of more intensive engagement. Last year, we welcomed Anika Rahman as our Fairfax Director and Amanda Caughran as our Loudoun Director. I continue to serve as our Executive Director and Prince William Director.

Your engagement makes this work possible. As we navigate an uncertain future for housing resources, we remain steadfast in our commitment to education, advocacy and most of all relationships with you and our communities. The challenges ahead are real, but lasting change happens through strong partnerships.

We look forward to working alongside you in the year ahead.

Sincerely,

Jill Norcross

Executive Director, NVAHA
