Overnight, a 4-page Bill became 107 pages, with sweeping tax changes that could impact working families across the Commonwealth. Debate on a Bill that gives companies greater freedom to pollute our drinking water – and drives up costs for taxpayers – was banned. And, finally, public comment on gutting DEI policies in higher education was stifled.
When House Democrats attempted to hit pause on these rushed bills, Republicans refused. When we asked for time for stakeholders to analyze the impacts, the GOP shut us down.
